I found a list of some things you can do to be positive a little bit ago and thought I would add some of my own to it. Ke$ha (and I’m sure a million other people) said that “in life, you’re gonna get what you give,” so why don’t we all contribute a little positivity to each other?
- remember everyone who is silently cheering for you… there’s a LOT more than you think
- think of how you can add value to the situations you’re in
- create things to look forward to
- get negative thoughts out of your system by writing them down
- find meaning in just living – look out the window in the car, appreciate the things around you
- move around
- thank yourself for being awesome!! yes, YOU ARE SO AWESOME and you deserve to be told that every single day!!!
- remember every dead end has a hidden exit
- cheer up someone else
- accept in advance that some bad things will always happen
- spend time with family or people you are close with AND value it
- forgive yourself and others. seriously though- what are grudges going to even solve? absolutely nothing, so if you want to get your message across to someone do it by communicating and being mature
- don’t waste time chasing people who aren’t interested. surround yourself with the kind of people that are going to make you feel good and build you up
- clean your room
- say “I love you” more. let people know you care about them
- don’t judge. if people judge you, ignore them
- UNPLUG!!
- find silver linings in situations AND people
- smile a lot, even when you’re sad
- journal for 20 minutes a day
- cry if you need to but don’t dwell on it for too long
- go to sleep when you’re tired, not when you are done looking at your phone
- do the things you’re good at
